@aart is what you have with your divider a different bottom mesh? Looks like the squares are bigger.

The one on the left looks to be what is identical to what is currently in the bottom.

Yep, the '5' mesh I used is bigger than the mesh that came with bator.
I wanted better air circulation...why I cut out even bigger holes in the divider 'walls'.

@aart question about your divider. You made it at an angle creating triangles. My concern with doing it this way is having an egg get knocked into the sharp corner during hatch and having it get stuck. Any problems with that?
I was thinking of making it T shape creating 4 square boxes. Why didn't you make it square? What say you?

Nope, no problems, but I didn't jam the sections full. I tested capacity with plastic eggs, 8 would fit(see pic below) but I only put in 6....and you've just got to watch out that they don't get stuck against a side or corner....most square bators are like that.

As to why I went on the diagonal...it was about fitting the walls tight to lid and holding them there. The 'corners' of the lid hold the tops of walls in place so the chicks don't push thru into the 'wrong' section.

Computer troubles this morning...pic is not loading.
ETA...finally working again @RoosterML

Now I have two with pips. Hatch day (21days) is not until tomorrow around 6:30pm. Question is what is considered "hatched"? Is it when the chicks is completely out of the shell? Reason I ask is if the pips is "hatch" then I would be 2 days early indicating above average temps. :idunno

Oops, forgot congrats on the pips!! Once they start zipping, that, in my opinion, is the totally amazing part! Well heck, the whole process is quite amazing in itself.
