It has begun!!! 1st Time

Pip on left appears to be a 'side pip'...one on right is not in air cell either, unless you didn't mark them at lockdown. Those can take longer from pip to sip to hatch as they are basically an 'external pip'.

I did not trace the aircells on all the eggs and I only did a few at that. I was monitoring weights so that I would end up at about a 12% weight loss thru the whole process. Kinda did alittle of both. The darker egg is a shipped egg and I did have plenty of saddle bags when candeling. I candeled on day 17 not at lockdown.

I didn’t notice the air cell pencil line on the one egg, so it does look like it probably missed the air cell. But the other was likely drawn back enough to have hit it. I could be wrong.

When you draw the aircells and it comes time for lockdown. With this incubator laying the eggs down do you arrange the eggs so that the largest part of the aircell is upwards? Or does it not matter?
Yes. always have the that part of the egg facing the ceiling.

Agreed. But also realize that the air cell will draw down and the top will still continue to draw toward the pointed end, as the chick gets into position, so the air cell will be back further than your circled line. Actually that's a good way to tell if they are moving along properly. If the air cell doesn't move after lockdown, that's usually a bad sign.

2 days before hatch

Yes, but don't expect them to stay that way...especially once the first chicks hatches and pinballing/egg soccer begins....and they may still pip somewhere other than where they are 'supposed' to.:gig
