Good to know, I don't think any of the chicks got the message because where they have pips is not where I had the last aircells marked on some of them. We shall see I am not changing anything now with 3 pips.

The air cells continue to draw down...so the pips should be lower than where you last marked the air cell.

Question about removing this is the guy/gal from previous picture. It is not all fluffed up yet but I am guessing it's dry but just needs to preen itself more. Do you remove now or wait until all fluffed up? I had one hatch after and it's all fluffed already.
Black one to me is good to go but white one still not groomed well.

Sometimes the 'egg gunk' dries on the down, making it look not so fluffy.
They will preen that off, eventually, or it will wear off.
I might move the two the brooder, grab the shells while you're at it.
Will you be around to keep an eye on them in the brooder with that new heater plate of yours?
