What kind?
I haven't picked a kind yet. For now, for sure it would have to be dual purpose.
Ease of incubation would help also. LOL

They will eat the plants?For dual purpose, I recommend Anconas... but depending on how many, any big ducks will tear up the garden...

Young plants, yes... but the big thing they do is make tons of holes with their bills... big ducks, bigger holes...
Our yard currently looks like an aerator went over it, lol...
we were growing corn once and had ducks in the garden, then we just had ducks. They were pretty happy about it though...
Our ducks totally tore our garden up. I've heard the chickens won't do that. This will be our first year with chickens and garden so we will see. Fingers crossed.

know chickens will eat your veggies. Especially tomatoes.Chickens are worse, lol... they make huge dustbath areas...
