Out of 26 eggs at lockdown.
One hatched was culled due to deformity
One pip culled died on shell

Waiting on. 4 more.

One has pipped and broke off allot is shell but is struggling. Maybe low humidity from removing other hatched chicks ?
Three others not sure?

Yay! Sounds like a good hatch so far. They are sooo adorable!!

My BCM have feathered feet, but they would be much larger than a Bantam. My first set are due in a week! I can hardly stand the suspense. When we candled yesterday 13 out of 14 had good development couldn't see much but a black blob moving a bit. One is a quitter I think. The two runner duck eggs look good too. I am anxiously waiting for Wed to candle the next set of Seramas on their 2nd week. Then Thursday for the mix of shipped eggs that are Silkie/showgirls and Saipan at one week.

Sorry for leaving y'all hanging.

The deformity? Not too sure. One leg was noticeably shorter. Know that because 12 hours after hatching, it had never gotten up and never bent either leg. It stayed laying on it's side. I tried right before culling to stand it up, but no luck.

Never heard of that before. If it ever did stand, it could only walk in circles.

I had one that I wasn't sure was going to make it, keept scooting around not walking properly. It's feet liked really odd, like they were way to big and swollen. It didn't peck around after a couple hours like the others did and would just cheep and scoot into the corner. But with how strong its lungs were I figured I'd see what happens. It hatched on Thursday night and is just now starting to peck around like the rest. I'm just surprised its still alive but very glad. Walking much better now but trends to stay under the mamma heating pad most of the time.
