Put ice in their waterer.

I have a fan in the coop and the windows open.. also most of my coop is in the shade.

About sundown I go out and wet down the shingles on the roof to cool that off via evaporation.

They survived last year... yeah, their wings are hanging down and they are panting but they got through it last year, they'll get through it this year.
 
I have read that "swamp coolers" work well in your climate. Wish I had that low humidity so I could use one. I just hose the birds and the coop down, and use a fan.
 
This is just the thread I was looking for. While it's only 84 here I think the problem is that a couple days ago it was in the 40s and sleeting. I don't know if hens need to acclimate to the weather like we do, but I have two 17-week old mille's who are panting worse than the dogs. My adults aren't panting but they have watery poo. Could this be because of the weather also?
