My duckling is walking around normal this morning and full of life. Yes... I probably jumped the gun a little, but it looked shrink wrapped to me and I was afraid I was going to lose it. I think it will be okay. I appreciate people who offered help and sent kind words.
Thanks!

scissor chick, and axle quail, thank you for your support.. Now I am unsubscribing from this thread.. It is finished anyhow..

Helping a duckling (or chick) out of the shell does not cause foot deformities. In fact, the curled foot was probably the reason the poor baby couldn't make it out of his shell! I think the OP has good intentions for giving this little guy a chance.

I didn't tell her to do anything because I don't know what the right thing is......however, the people that have commented are trying to help unlike you that pretty much puts blame on her for trying...Im sure there are many people on here that know as much or More than you. Just try to be nice will ya? we all make mistakes

It's hard to show emotion over the internet. I didn't find one thing in jvls's post that sounded

like an 'attack'. Just becuase one does not reply with smilies, does not mean they are mad, nor

does it mean they are 'attacking' the OP. Truth is harsh somtimes, if we are not told at some point,

the mistake will most likely happen again. I'm not saying no one makes mistakes, because we all

do. I made the same mistake before, and my chick died because of my impatience. jvls's post was

very helpful.
