It seems that there are more cockerel chicks hatching this year than normal.

In terms of humans, when there are an abundance of baby boys born it signal the possibility of war.

Now we are not talking about humans, we are talking about chickens.

But what does it tell you when there is more cockerels than normal.
 
At our place, my first two hatches were overwhelming female. Like out of 20 chicks, I only had three cockerels. It was awesome because I wanted pullets. My next two hatches were dead even. Out of 26 chicks I believe it's split exactly 50/50. I'm sure next time I'll get stuck with all cockerels.
