What was even worse was that I covered them at night. Originally I had a male button and 2 male coturnix, that's all that hatched. The coturnix wanted to crow all night long (all 3 birds were male), so I'd cover them trying to get them to hush. I remember being in there (after the initial dad having a heart attack scare) at night and hearing that...took me a while to figure out what it was!
