A bobcat is too big. It has to be small and skinny. The possible entrances are maybe 2”-4” wide.

Yes I have a cat but he sleeps inside at night. Can you put a quarter or something beside that track for size reference?
Do you even have a cat?
So it’s not a weasel. Would a cat kill 30+ chickens and not eat any of them?
To keep your chickens safe the largest possible entrance should be no greater that 1/2".A bobcat is too big. It has to be small and skinny. The possible entrances are maybe 2”-4” wide.
I’ll post some pictures of the possible holes with the traps still inside so you can see the set up.I am thinking fox now instead of cat, but bobcat would be my second choice. Can you post any pictures of your coop set up?
Weasle! Set a live trap, baited with one of the victims. So I posted a thread yesterday about how 5 of my chickens were brutally murdered. Now I go out this morning to find that there are around 30 more dead on the coop floor. There are feathers and blood everywhere. Whatever this animal is it knows how to open coop doors and sneak in through small spaces. It also doesn’t eat the chickens. It must know how to climb. What is it and what should I do?
I had a weasle or rat kill a bunch of quail one time; not a mark on any of them.I'll check when I get home later today. The weasel won't strike again during the day will it? And do weasels snap their necks and just leave them?
