Italian quail? Who has them and how do they compare?

So this is a manchurian?

I like the manchurians better, especially the ones that look like him

Ok, cause I was plotting setting up my next breeder pens like that. Looks like I'll have 4 possible Italian hens out of the 15 that hatched and I have 2 manchurian roosin the bachelor club.

Yes the boy is manchurian, some even have all brown heads..the fainter feathers describe them as well. The hen is the yellow one I posted. THe male Italian looks like the hen except the breast area and a bit more brown.

All mine are together right now, but when I separate them I'll have gold females (italian and manchurian if I have any) with brown males, gold males with brown females, cinnamon male with brown females, brown male with cinnamon females, white with white, then red, tuxedo, tibetan, and rosetta all together.

That will probably not work since I don't think I've got any brown males right now

Brown is dominant so if you put it in with your Manchurians you will get some browns. Since white is recessive I will get more of what I want.

Whites carry brown too, how do you think they get the spots on their heads? You can breed golds to anything and you'll still get browns. Gold is dominant over brown.

yes, Shelley D is correct, it is actually better to breed the Goldens, whether Manchurian or Italian with browns than whites or even other darker colors as the white will just fade the color away further, especially if you have a Manchurian to begin with. You want some color
