I hatched these cute little Cornish cross 5 days ago. All was well. Today I got home and I noticed they have red bumps that are moist (for lack of better word) and they are scratching themselves a lot. Mites? Lice?
They have had no contact with birds at all I did let them go outside for an hour yesterday but they stayed in their tote. I also notice their bellies are staying wet but I’m adding fresh pine shavings everyday.
Am I overthinking this? I raised 33 last year and had none of these issues, granted they were barnyard layers not CC.
