CA weather isn't for me. I can handle the heat but I was there in ether the spring or summer one year (can't remember which) & in the mornings when I went to work 3:30 AM it was so cold I was wearing every thing I took with me including insulated coveralls & by 9:00 AM I was down to a t shirt & burning up.
I was there in the summer 2 times that our swamp coolers went out & we was staying in 60 man rooms. One of the times the city water was off so we took coolers, buckets, & whatever we could find to carry water about .5 miles back to the coolers. It was a long way to carry water but it was so rewarding to have the cool air. It was so hot outside that if you stood in one spot on the blacktop to long not only did you feel cooked but your boots would stick to the blacktop.
