I used the plastic easter eggs in the nest boxes. The girls were not impressed with yellow and orange so I replaced them with purple and hot pink. Now I have 4 of the five hens using nest boxes. One still lays her egg on the floor.

I know the rule is one box for four hens, but I have 6 boxes for 5 hens - they still stand on the bar and wait for one to finish so they can use the same box.

I gave up. As long as I don't have to use the jaws of life to cut them out of the box I don't care how many wedge in together.

They use the pop door on the OTHER coop to go in there and lay their eggs.
