We have 5 BBW's and the biggest one started this a couple days ago:

So far he is the only one to strut his stuff LOL. They are 11 days old in this pic.

I just love his little fanned butt fluffies LOL.

TV: Thanks for the reply! I didn't know both sexes postured! I figured he was the only boy in the bunch. Either way, it was just too cute, he/she was herding around the other poults and chicks. My first thought was, wow, if "he" is starting this early, we are probably in for a bumpy ride until freezer camp!

Wow, none of mine do that! My 3 are about 7 weeks old or so. They're getting feathers in. It's hilarious when they see something that worries them, they walk up to it talking, head down, tail flattened out. That squirrel didn't know what hit him! I had to chase them off a baby robin, little bird was cornered.

But nothing for posturing from any of them. The Black Spanish and the Royal Palm are not growing near as fast as the Narrangstat.

Now I think I read somewhere that males will not grow neck feathers... is there truth to that? The smaller ones are getting brand new feathers on their neck, starting on the back, all the way down. The larger Narrangstat has yet to grow neck feathers, it's huge, but still has a fuzzy neck. It's also the friendliest and bravest.

I'm noticing differences in growth and feathering as they age... Gobbles is growing so big, but in body more than feathers. Giblet and Penguin seem a lot more... feminine.
