It's a Roo manners thing..

Thanks for all the advise. I have been going about it all wrong. My roo has shown signs of aggression (running to me when I go out) etc.) I thought he was just happy to see me! So far that is all. I will begin his subordinate trainning this afternoon when I get home and continue throughout the weekend. I love this BYC!

Great post!

I agree with most of the stuff....however, you DON'T need to hurt your roo in order for him to respect you, and if you want a tame roo, then go for it! It's SOOOOOO much easier than most people think to deal with roosters, you just have to know how!

I actually wrote a whole long post about my knowledge of roosters, and my advice about them: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=4727471#p4727471
I hope it helps, because honestly, not that many people really, I mean REALLY seem to know how to deal with roosters.....I didn't until a few years ago!
