It's a Rooster, Right?

A member of my extended family has owned this bird since January. It is probably about 4 months old? They thought it was a pullet and have been waiting for eggs. But now it has started crowing. No idea what breed or cross it might be. Any advice?

Yes, its definitely a cockerel. Too young to be 'classed' as a rooster. Once he's a year, then he's a rooster.

Hi! I'm pretty sure that is a rooster. Looks like saddle feathers coming down in the second pic. But I am not a pro.

sorry no idea, is this bird from a hatchery? Hatchery birds tend to be poor examples of any breed.

I think it came from a backyard breeder, a "friend of a friend" situation.
