Acan ate with his large appetite that went with his large frame, trying not to garner much attention to himself. Jeffrey made small talk with some of the maids and ladies in waiting, and tried to keep his eyes on their faces.
" I'm already 13 you know. I'm pretty much a man already," he bragged to them while they giggled a little at his forwardness.

"You are dismissed now." Lillia said. "Thank you for informing me of the visitor."
Olivia bowed again and turned to go, this time heading to get some lunch and nap if she had time before the next patrol went out.

Lyra chuckled and smiled at him.She was glad to heve him as her friend.

Aiveron felt the exact same about Lyra. The came to the great hall and noticed the lunch gathering. He smiled softly at the sight. "The castle is coming back to life. It is a good tactic for camaraderie." He observed aloud.

"speaking of the gentry, Dan, a handsome young bird by the name of Rayko was most kind, keeping me company in the courtyard while you were gathering herbs and whatnots for me out in the wild world. He is such a good boy! He would be our grandson's age, if the boy had survived." Magatha looked away briefly, not wanting to shed any tears at the table. She took a deep cleansing breath, exhaling slowly to repress the sadness for now. She wanted to show a happy face in a gathering.

Almost as if speaking of him caused him to appear, Rayko came in freshly bathed and dressed. He glanced around the gathering and saw the ones he knew. He smiled and moved to a seat close to Acan, Martha and her mate, Dan. "It pleases me to see familiar faces. Morning meal was most awkward for me. It helped me realize how disengaged I've been. May I join you find birds?" He asked hopefully.

" I am so glad to see you, Rayko! May I introduce my husband, Dan, and Dan, this is the venerable Rayko! He's such a good boy, he is, " Magatha stated, smiling gently.
Dan stuck out his hand in friendly greeting. "Hey, it's good to meet another real man around here. Magatha doesn't like to admit it, but she isn't as able bodied as she one was. Thank you so much for providing her with comfort and company while I was away."
Acan mumbled a hello around his meal, looking briefly up at Rayko to acknowledge him before shyly returning to his meal. Jeffrey peeked around Acan at Rayko," it's sure nice to meet another raptor bird. I'm Jeffrey," he bragged, puffing out his scrawny chest.

Rayko took Dan's hand in greeting and said courteously, "It is a pleasure. But if there was any comfort and companionship, it was on her part to me." He glanced to Acan as he moved to take his seat. He smiled amd dipped his head at the gusto that Jeffrey put into his posture. "It's good to meet you as well, Jeffrey." He said with respect.

"Well, magpies are known as social birds. Despite her seemingly reclusive nature when I am away, she is really very social, you know. Like the children's poem goes, one for sorrow, two for joy," Dan glanced over to Magatha slyly as she stuck her tounge out at him in a mock childish gesture.

Rayko laughed softly at the easy natures of the pair.
