I am not the tease - it is my little red hen "Romy", she won't let me see, but as soon as I can get a look at them, the camera will be at the ready! My partner should be home by about 7 tonight, so maybe then between us we can get a look at them.

Dont feel bad I have a silkie hen about to hatch hers any day.It is one thing getting spanked by that red hen another when a little fluffy butt gets ya LOL I have band aids all over my hands.Husband came home and did not even ask when he seen all the bandaids and told me I needed to learn to leave that hen alone when she is sitting LOL he knows me too well.I think mine has a few more days and I will wait till they are running around to peek LOL

Hi All,

Thank you for all your well wishes.

Day 23 - we were out for the whole day at a family function. When we returned home our hen had either abandoned her nest or had been forced out (she is our lowest "ranking" chicken in the flock). All of the remaining eggs were stone cold

However, we could still hear the cheeping sound from under her, so at least all was not lost.

Day 24 (this morning) - let the chickens out and got our first good look at our little "only chicken" that's right, all that noise for just one little tacker! But what a gorgeous little baby it is! So without further ado ... the long awaited ....
