It's finally spring!!!

Where I live we have to wait until May 1 to plant tomatos, but I'm thinking about a greenhouse too! It would allow me to grow warm climate vegetables like peppers that don't usually thrive here!
Yes! Pepper plants are actually perennials too, so you can over winter the plants in a greenhouse, which is what I plan to do. I had a Serrano and Jalapeño that were 3 years old when I lived in the valley (I was able to just leave it out all year there). The peppers actually get hotter year after year and are more prolific. I’m planning to grow mine in large pots and then transfer them to a green house in the winter once I get one.

Succulent updates! These photos are all from today, so very recently! I'm elated to announce spring/summer program has officially begun, most of the succulents have been watered, and or started growing again. The lithops is definitely growing and I'm so excited. My favorite succulent, he one in the white pot is producing a flower stock as well! Last year's propagations are doing fantastic, and I'm ready to begin another round for this year! Here are some photos!

Peppers are super fun to grow! The only thing that beats them is cucumbers, I love how huge their leaves get once the start growing on a tree!

I don't keep plants, but I love wildflowers. Sometimes I "kidnap" them and transplant them in my garden. I really love spring because winter here is very long and when I start to see blooming flowers it warms my heart: it means that even if it's still cold, days are longer and the land is coming back to life.

Ugh those flowers are so gorgeous

Yes! This! After this winter, I want a bigger greenhouse. I use a couple of old cold frames to start my spring plantings, but those are under snow this year. I can't even get to them atm. I have my onions and seeding potatoes in my laundry room under grow lights.

New plant haul! Four cacti, one bonsai, and a fitonia! Love them already! Oh I also cleaned up the old leaves from my begonia, she's looking really good now
