It's going to be super cold.

I have an extra male, plan on raising chicks from my pair, and will be getting a clutch of eggs from a local guy so I will have some for you when you are ready! They are a 2-in-1 deal: beautiful birds and living rototillers...
I will keep that in mind, "living rototillers"

How friendly do Impeyans get?

Quick pic.

Yes they dig everywhere and very quickly. I would be okay if they dug in one spot but they share the wealth. My impeyans are not quite at the point of being friendly. My original pair was slowly calming down and coming closer to eat when I fed them but the arrival of a new male made things worse. Now they are back to keeping their distance. But I have seen pictures of very friendly ones. Thanks for the pic. Nice to see them doing well!

We got sunshine and 58•!!

40 degrees here i still got layers on the wind is fighting with the clouds trying to blow them away so the sun can stay shinning.
I been having very hungry hawks trying to enter the safe zone, the peas are tattling on them

Had to blast a flock of starlings to run them off when the peas heard them they were headed to my daughters place, hard to stop 50 of them at one time

like they were gonna do something with them little birds up in the trees over there, crazy peas

a carefully placed bottle rocket sent them on their way and the peas are happy now, it is funny to watch the peas watching me to see if i was going to run something they see off with the rocket, they have learned threw the years that mom and her rockets will come to their rescue.

hmmm, thought it was Zaz that started with the bottle rockets? Now I'm thinking we may need a whole "bottle rocket" thread
