It's just weird. Or "It isnt just famous people that die in three's"

it happened to me a few years back. My great aunt then her DH then my grandpa. It was hard to take and I am so sorry for your losses

thanks everyone.

My grandfather is lingering. Both my aunts have posted themselves in his room. My mom cant since she has to take care of her dh, who suffered a pretty massive stroke 2.6 years ago.
He told them that he doesnt want to hold their hands. Then he reached past them and whispered my grandmothers name(she passed 3 years ago. At home, in her sleep). They had been together since they were 15.
He really isnt aware of anything anymore. And they(my aunts) have a priest coming in today for last rights.

My mom told him that it's ok to let go and go be with his wife, brothers and such. He is the last surviving member of his family. One aunt is ok with him going, but I guess my other aunt(the youngest) is not willing to admit that it is time. Not surprisingly she is also the one that kept her dog alive well past his time as well. Not to compare my grandfather with a dog... but the dog was blind, deaf and un able to stand up on his own once he laid down. It was awful.

With luck he will let go soon and go be with the love his his life and his brothers and sisters.

I will post when he finally crosses over and is at peace

Not to make light of it, but if he saw his wife...he's gonna be going soon...the ones who have gone before come back to escort you across...
Then he reached past them and whispered my grandmothers name

More hugs and prayers....
