XOXOXO My mom has passed on, still watching (and laughing at my foibles, for sure). My dad is far, too. I feel your pain, and it's a huge thing when your loved ones are far. But you are calling and he can hear you and feel your care and concern in your voice. That's what it's all about. You love him, he knows.
Sorry to hear about your troubles Gritsar! My entire family is back in Germany so its only my husband and me here. Hubby is gone during the week as well so that gives loneliness a whole new meaning. I hope you will be able to find a solution for your dad. He may like it out at the farm. I used to take videos with my camera for my grand ma that is too old to fly over here and see it. My parents would play it for her and she loved it. Maybe filming the farm and chickens will get him into the right mindset of moving in with his daughter?
All I can say is keep up the good fight. Maybe sooner or later a good opportunity will come along and you will be able to see your dad again. My husband always says that just because somebody says "no' doesn't mean "no". It just means you need to try harder
