So I went into the "Emu" room to check the 4 that are to hatch this weekend. I hear some peeping but it is not coming from the hatcher. Its coming from the bator that has 11 eggs I took from the birds nests 2 weeks back. Its not just one egg its many of them I didnt figgure them to hatch till the end of the month. Oh crap I am gonna need a part time job to keep them in greens! Looks like I am gonna have a emu surplus sale. any takers

ETA: Are your Emu in with goats? I have Nigi's and a 5 ft no-climb horse fence. Would that work?

I keep them with goats when its not breeding season. dont want the goats to break the eggs. Well I dont wanna count my chickens (er emus) before they hatch. It looks like I will have 21 from this season I plan to give a few to the local zoo and keep 3-4 but the rest will be up for the sales block.

Hey, if you have a repeat of this NEXT year, we'll head out and pick some up. They sound like fun, we've got the room for them, they are cute (even as adults).

This year, nope, not with twins of the human sort on the way.
