It's time for me to admit I have a problem...

It is an affliction. Those of us with cats are all afflicted. I have thousands of photos and they are all of cats and chickens. I tried clearing out my photos but I ended up deleting holiday pictures and people pictures and I took more cat pictures because of course a cat was helping me sort the photos at my desk!
One of my silly kitties - he got bored of helping me sort photos and had a nap on my desk.

Yes it is an affliction. I have 2. They are so funny to watch. They especially like to get in my lap while I’m knitting.

You remembered! Yes. He will shred paper, cardboard and plastic.
I have to cover anything I care about with decoy cardboard.
Eventually this box and the padded envelope will completely disappear. Fortunately he doesn’t eat it he just spits it out so I am always sweeping up heaps of shredded paper/card. If I can keep plastic out of the mix I put the sweepings into the chicken coop as bedding.

Crazy cat! Casper chews the edges of his boxes like that, but he'll usually stop before the edge gets too low. I guess he's just trying to 'soften' them or something? I haven't figured it out yet. But he also leaves cardboard bits everywhere, the goober. I never thought to use it as bedding, but I don't think Casper produces quite enough to bother with compared to your boy.

If anyone was curious about what this looks like from the ground floor, he's been doing it every morning so I grabbed a pic. I don't know how he can be comfortable with his shoulders jammed in there like that!

This is a terrible picture and he moved so I couldn't try for a better one, but when I went around to the stairs to pet him he stretched and about did me in again with his ridiculousness

I can't stop taking pictures of my ridiculous cat, Casper! Cap came into my life back in October, and in that time I've taken hundreds of pictures of him. He just keeps doing ridiculous things and I can't help myself! With it being so cold and snowy, and me not being out with my chickens as long as I would be to take pictures of them, it's been hard not to turn my flock thread into a cat thread just by the sheer volume of cat pictures I've been taking over these past few months.

So that that doesn't happen, I've come here to admit that I have a problem... and make a thread to dump all the pictures I take of Casper.

He is beautiful! Is he a Balinese? The only cat breed i will ever get. After good experiences with them.

He was actually a stray that showed up here on my farm in October 2021, so if he's purebred I can't say for sure! Officially, he's a blue point domestic longhair. He's been compared to both Balinese and Ragdolls, though. All I know for sure is that he's my handsome baby boy.
