I can't stop taking pictures of my ridiculous cat, Casper! Cap came into my life back in October, and in that time I've taken hundreds of pictures of him. He just keeps doing ridiculous things and I can't help myself! With it being so cold and snowy, and me not being out with my chickens as long as I would be to take pictures of them, it's been hard not to turn my flock thread into a cat thread just by the sheer volume of cat pictures I've been taking over these past few months.

So that that doesn't happen, I've come here to admit that I have a problem... and make a thread to dump all the pictures I take of Casper.

On the latest episode of Sharing A Bed With Casper... He was all curled up and snug, so I started taking pictures... and then captured the classic stretch and roll maneuver in photos!

...Now he's comfy.

My room has been extra warm because it swings with the outside temp a bit (it's above the front porch, so less insulated from the outside than the rest of the house, I guess), and I have a brooder and incubator running in there adding more heat, so it's pretty toasty right now. I don't honestly know if he likes the warmth or not! Usually he only stretches out like this when he's overheated, yet he refuses to nap in cooler parts of the house, so

Cats love hot!
I used to have a cat that would sleep with his head rammed up against the underside of the radiator. It made his fur too hot for me to touch. I am sure he was boiling his brains but he was actually pretty smart so itvwasnt doing him any harm.
If he couldn’t get in to the room with the radiator he would stretch himself along the line of the hot pipe that ran under the floor across the landing to feed that radiator. It looked like such a random place to sleep in the middle of the landing until you felt the floor and realized there was a hot pipe underneath.

Oh my goodness! Casper has thus far always seemed like he preferred cooler temps, like for example he'll be snuggled next to someone for a long time and then all of the sudden need to hop down to the floor and sprawl out like he's too hot. But he seems to love the room being warm, so I have no idea!

Speaking of him, we had another close call with starvation this morning. So weak, so hungry...

Me as well. Practically every morning I awake to him on the brink. If only I would just feed him more instead of giving him the amount recommended by his vet for his size, the horrible, negligent human that I am!
