Welcome to BYC. Most bantams are sweet, they are however, very broody. They are usually sold straight run too. That means that you may get more cockerels/roosters than pullets/hens. Be prepared.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!

I raise silkies which are considered bantam via size but yep, very broody. I choose to incubate their eggs than to let them sit on them though, except for this once. I have three moms for potentially 6 chicks. Two are here with five chicks, and one's still sitting on one viable egg. So, who's going to lay some eggs around here?
