I've always wondered how chickens get along with parrots and such

No video, but my niece had a RIR chick in with her parakeet for a month or so. They got along well.

That's funny. When I hatched out two baby chicks about ten weeks ago, after a few days it occurred to me that they were about the size of parakeets, and I wondered what would happen if a couple of parakeets were put in there with them, or if they were put in a cage with parakeets.

PS I think chickens are smarter than they're given credit for being. I think parrots are smarter, but it likely only appears as if the difference is much greater than it actually is due to parrots' ability to learn words we can understand.

She would still be in there if she hadn't outgrown the parakeet cage. The parakeet loved having the company. My niece said she had the world's only parakeet who had it's own chicken.

Unfortunately, no pics. But, it was a sight to behold. She would put the cage on her front porch and visitors would be greeted by the dynamic duo

My budgies live outside with my chickens but in flights as chickens can carry diseases which I wouldn't want my budgies to get. Also my chickens bitten off toes from my budgies pecking through the grate. My chickens make great clean up crew for all the stuff my budgies waste though. Lol
