I've got the itch...tattoo

Quote:
I won't get a tattoo unless I designed it. I consider tattoos art and decoration. I think that if you get one that you thought was cute or pretty at the time you have a better chance of regretting it in the future. If you get something that you designed or you had a big part in designing you have less of a chance to regret it later on. To each his own though, this is just my opinion. I don't regret mine, I actually love mine and get a lot of complements on my arm band...even at work at the country club.

I personally don't have any tats but would love one. Just won't spend the money. My daughter has 8 so I called her about your finger art since I only know two people with finger tats and both are covered by rings due to the tats running. She on the other hand is friends with her tat artist and spends lots of time in his shop.
She said.
The problem with tats on hands and fingers is the amount of use we put our hands thru daily without even thinking. Especially washing. It can be done - but unless you want a big glob of blue/black ink covered by a ring you might want to practice prior to the tat - not using that hand until it would be healed properly.
If you go for it - post pics.

I got my first tatoo last night!

Its on my big toe, second toe and vines across the top (beginning) of my toes. It hurt worse than I thought it would. The one thing I didn't think about was not being able to tolerate wearing shoes. So, its snowing right now, lightly and cold and I've been outside wearing flip flops and a heavy jacket

I've wanted a tattoo for years but never had the guts nor could I settle on anything. I'm glad I did it, but I don't think I will be doing it again. I thought I had a high tolerance for pain, but after last night I proved myself wrong.
