So, I've never had ducks before and I have decided to get three soon. And I don't really know the good size for a coop and a fenced pen for them to go outside. I need some help there. If you could help out with this please leave a comment below!

Ducks are great and if you have a guest who you would like
to leave and don't know how to do it just add two ducks into
the bathtub first thing in the morning before they get up and
then when they go in the bathroom wow what a surprise..

Have duck sit by front gate to frighten off intruders ....

Really ducks are fairly easy to take care of but watch out
where you steep .....

ducks need water and if you do not have a pond then you
need to get some shallow water containers like a kiddy pool
for them to play in and ducks like to play around ....

Feed requirements well I use Turkey Grow as it is small
and goes down easy ... But some cracked corn is a good
treat along with anything you put in a salad ....

Five squire feet per duck minimum but they love to walk around the yard and eat the grass and bugs worms are great also ..

Hit me back if you have more questions alright .....

Just hit quoit and I will get your message as marked urgent ...

I raise my ducks with my chickens and they get along great. They stay in the same pen. I have 4 ducks about 2 1/2 months old and 13 chickens with 4 ducklings coming soon along with 10 more chicks. I don't have a pond so I cut a 55 gal drum in half and filled it with water for them to get in. Even though I have it where the chickens aren't tall enough to climb in I still keep the water shallow enough so the chickens won't drown if they do happen to fall over in. Once my shipment comes in I will have a total of 4 mallards and 4 khaki Campbell's as far as ducks. What kind are you planning to get? Do you have any other pets? Message me if you like.

I have 2 mallards and 2 khaki campbells about 15 weeks old. 3 males and 1 female-will this be a problem? I hoped to have 2 girls and 2 boys but both my khakis are apparently male! They live with my 10 chickens and all seem very content right now. My chickens are 15 weeks old and 10 weeks old so not sure how many hens I have. I don't plan to ever do straight run again! I want to know what I am getting! So do I need to add some female ducks?

We have three ducklings. Two anconas and one Muscovy. My husband and son built them a house about the size of a large doghouse for them to sleep in at night so they are safe and my husband just built a gated in run area that can be moved around until they are bigger, then they will be able to go around are yard. I bought Storeys Guide to raising ducks. It has tons of info. Between that and this site I have all the info answered before I could even ask! Good luck with your ducks!

Welcome to BYC! Sorry I don't know much about ducks, but the Ducks forum would be the place to go good luck to you.
