Two days ago I put six drops (0.1ml) of 1% ivermectin injectable at the base of the neck of a 1.7kg broody hen that I want to put some pea eggs under... and the lice are still there. I've also tried giving it orally to a couple of different birds with the same results.

There are a couple more things I want to try, like injecting it and trying the 5% pour-on.

If anyone here has had luck using the 1% injectable for feather lice, please let me know how you got it to work so I can try it. PM me if you prefer.

I used the pour on type on Master P and I see no lice at all where before I could see them crawling in his feathers on his face, I use Iver-on it is clear blue and smells like alcohol I used 1.5 ml on his backside

I use the pour-on with good results. I have been using one ml per bird giving a couple of drops at the back of the crest, then about half between the shoulders and the rest above the tail in the butt fluff. I have been told that I was using too much and to cut down to one half ml per adult bird.

A whole ml on a small hen might be a little too much, but 1 ml on a large male is only .8 mg/kg, so I think it okay. Did your vet say it was too much?

The pour on ivermectin instructions for cattle are 0.1 ml per 1 kg (0.01 ml per 100 grams), and I'm pretty sure twice that amount is safe for birds. Ask the big breeder "how many mg per kg" and let me know what they say.
