So there has been a lot of information in the news these days about ivermectin. I am needing to dose my gals for pararsites and was hoping to get some experienced input about if I have to withdrawal eggs after dosing? (I am topical dosing)
Thanks in advance!

Are you in the US? Have you seen worms or had your vet look for worm eggs in a fecal float? Chicken worms have built up resistance to ivermectin in recent years due to it’s overuse as a mite treatment. In the US, for worms, I would recommend using Valbazen 1/2 ml for a 5-6 pound chicken given orally once, and again in 10 days. SafeGuard Liquid Goat Wormer is also good, and dosage is 1/4 ml per pound of weight given orally for 5 consecutive days. Egg withdrawal time is 14 days feom last dose.

If you use the ivermectin topical, and if it is 5 mg per ml, give 0.1 ml per every 2 pounds. Repeat in 14 days. Egg withdrawal time is at least 7 days after the last dose.

I am in the US :)
I will gladly research your recommendations; Thanks Greatly!!!

As far as the Ivermectin; I have around 40 layers and do sale my eggs, so for complete clarity... dose and then withdrawal for 7 days and then the 7days in between the next dose is safe to use/sale the eggs? until the next dose (14 days after initial treatment) with a withdrawal for 7 days after that?
