Not quite sure what is going on, but Scaredy has backed off a bit. I can encourage her into making contact, but she is a bit more apprehensive. I chalk it up to her being female, oops meant feline. Seriously, I hope that another coyote has not taken up residence.

Now autocorrect is turning feline into female huh?

Probably just being hormonally finicky. Hopefully it's not a predator.

Ended up being 7 years and just a few months agp he finally made contact. Yes, definitely one suspicious kitty! But I suppose that's a good thing

Man, I just read this entire thread and the saga of scared cat, then realized I was already a member from when I had chicken. I miss them.

It's amazing that this creature who was surviving by scrounging nuggets of dog food has become a finicky eater. She will not eat hot dogs, bologna, deli roast beef or basically any beef or beef product. Chicken and turkey are fine as is dog food. She is slick and shiny and doing well.

I don't think so. There are no close neighbors, and although she has gone walk about in the past she pretty much hangs close to the house lately.
