Cleaning out the chicken shed a bit todat

It looks like you've been having some cold weather

Were those today's eggs in the nestboxes, or hiding in the shed you were cleaning out?

Looks like dog food. The only ones that are happy when we get a frozen egg are my dogs! How cold was it?

They were my Cochin mama's eggs. But it's kinda neat how wach one popped differently

That was actually back when it was negative double digits all day. Same day the silkie trio ended up inside amd i lpst another girl

Unfortunately though frozen eggs are super common here

Working on the shed some more. Have to figure out how I'll be setting it up this year.

Also seperated my silkie girls. Apparently the 2021 pen is in a flood zone, so featherlegged birds are being moved until that issue is resolved.

My mystic girl from last year might be going broody. She was on a few eggs and i candled the lightest one. Looked like a possible day one, but not 100% certain. She's hard to tell because she doesn't growl or hiss or peck when i look at her eggs

Look at these lovely ladies. From left to right we have Jocelyn and Ronnie (have yet to decide who is which one), Cheese and Crow. David will be added today hopefully.

And here is Roland after one of his Epsom baths

Roland is back inside. His foot is green, so now we're working on that again. I'm thinking he ran around in mud yesterday when he got loose while i was watering everyone

Roland seemed to like the warm water. The dog seemed to like Roland

They're starting to migrate closer to the house
