I have made some nice tasty black berry jam and it is not getting thick. It is still runny. I am sure it is because I did not measure anything, but if I open all the jars and pour it back into a pot, and re-cook it, adding more pectin, will it set up?
Yes. The package of pectin should have directions to "re-make" the jam. Also, how long has it been since you made it? Some kinds can take up to 2 weeks to set.
Really? Maybe there is hope? I made it about 3 hours ago. But last years batches set up or showed thickness with in an hour. Thanks for the help!!
