I hatched 12/14 for New years, I may have 2 more on the 2nd...
Then my last batch I have 10 for the 11th.

I'm hoping that enough of these 16 Bielefelder's in this batch make it to hatch, so I can take a break for a few month's while they grow out.

I put my rooster down after I decided I had enough chicks. Of course after I put down my rooster my hens stopped laying. but then it did get very cold.

I had a New Year's hatch set, then I had a green egg layer lay an egg, and I put in that egg along with the LO egg (hatched), Silver penciled rock egg not hatched yet, but it is peeping. The green one was a dud. These are just a couple days behind the New years.

Well, my incubator is as clean as I can make it following my terrible New Year's Day hatch (1/9). I just set 6 shipped Bielefelder eggs. Fingers and toes crossed that this one is much more successful!

I ordered them from Omega Hills Farm (http://omegahillsfarm.com/). I was very impressed with the service and packing/shipping job; I have high hopes for these eggs.

My last ordered eggs were poor hatches, lovely birds though from NC, and AL. I did order from Fox fire in ID, next door so close they came the next day, with no air cell damage. I had 17/24 hatch from hers.

I wish you luck with those. I did a hatch of Bielefelder's back in November. I have 5 pullet's from that hatch, and the only boy that hatched wasn't strong enough to survive. That's why I am hatching more of these. I intend to start breeding the Bielefelder's over here.
