I went ahead and candled a few to take pics of what i am seeing... I am on day 4 and already I can see a lot of differences in the eggs... The eggs that had been refridgerated are either clear or have a blood ring.. It looks like the ones I found in the coop are all clear also but, I am going to leave ALL of them in there until Monday and will definitely know by then... Here is what I saw...

One tip! Put the light at the top where the air cell is.. Most times you will see the veins or embryo much easier this way.. You may have to turn the egg to get a look all the way around...

Just click on the thumbnails to see the bigger picture.. Didn't want this post to take forever to load...

Thanks for the tip!
I'll try from the top tonight...
and see if I can see veins like yours! that is amazing... I don't see any veins...
and my pics are so dark too.
much brighter in person... prolly should use a camera and not my iPhone...

I took those pics with my motorola CLIQ... The camera is actually really good on it for a phone... I have another camera around here somewhere but haven't seen it in months... The thing i like about my phone is that even though I still need to stand still, it does have auto focus which helps...

. Ok now I SWEAR to myself, I will not look at anything again until day 16-17 but I have to admit it was SIMPLY AMAZING.

Our eggs were set on the following dates:
December 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd. Still no peeping, pipping, or popping out...

Edited to add this: But good news is that the number of eggs rocking away has risen to 16 out of 43... so I know that those ones are still alive! Unless of course we somehow got mexican jumping eggs for our hens.
