Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

Holy crap guys... Looks like my duck eggs aren't the only babies I'm incubating.

Currently freaking out. Not sure how to tell DH. He won't even be home till Friday night so I've got a little bit of time.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm seriously freaking out... DH is "clinically sterile," he and his ex wife tried for a year with no results. Somehow we managed to catch the egg our first cycle. Was not expecting this at all. Had sushi for lunch yesterday and drank a big mug of coffee before I took this test. >.<

I had 3 batches of eggs set during our move. Looks like this may be the sole survivor from batch 1. It hatched yesterday, 6 days late. It was due the 14th. The other 2 batches seem to be running way behind too. Power was out on them several times before we figured out we have a couple bad outlets in the new house.
AWWWW. It's a beauty. Having just moved about 8 months ago I know what you're talking about with the outlets, etc. What a bummer. Hope the other 2 batches so well. :fl
I named it Chicklet & my daughter has it in a box in her room with a bath puff for "company." She has claimed it since her hen is the momma. We are hoping it's a pullet so it can join momma in the coop instead of going to freezer camp. My daughter is 10 & we do raise meat birds, so she understands the concept of too many roos in the coop. She just doesn't always like it.

My youngest daughter's dad was supposedly sterile too. Had mumps as a kid & the dr swore he would be sterile. I got pregnant the first week. His family swore I cheated. Needless to say, he is NOT sterile & has 2 more children since ours. Never trust a diagnosis of "stetile." Sometimes God is just making you wait for the right person to have a baby with. ;)

Can you tell my mind is on the eggies? I totally read that as "wait for the right person to HATCH a baby with" SMH, lol.

As a DH that has received that news 3 times myself, you might want to leave out the part where a whole internet full of strangers knew before he did
