It's a really awesome skill to have. my kid brother taught himself to fix cars from youtube. if you have the drive and the interest/need, you can literally do anything with the internet!


That turned out great! Will you have to wrap it or cover it with something if it freezes again?

It doesn't usually get that cold here. It was wrapped. I don't know what happened to it.

Golly, it's been maybe a couple of years since I hatched in an incubator. Been letting broodies do the work, but I'm doing this one for a customer. Hatching Belgian D'Anvers. Put 22 eggs in the Hovabator Genesis just now so tomorrow is Day One. Have never used this bator and didn't even realize it has a built in hygrometer. It was a replacement for the older Hova that was smoked up in our house fire in March 2013.

So, the chicks are technically due January 31, though these normally hatch Day 19-20 with rare ones waiting until Day 21. Doing this for a customer gives me a chance to test the new bator and lets me hatch without having to brood chicks for more than a few days.

Here are the parents-I have 6 hens and 6 pullets and 3 roosters.

shipped eggs came in today but I have to wait till the ones in the incubator hatch on Wednesday.

Hope they be ok. Does anyone knows what to do so they have a good chance.

The box was so quiet ok last time i didnt pay attention, and this time and cant leave the poor girl alone...sigh i guess next hatches will be better.

All i see is dark not even an air cell what if...

Hay, is it true that when you receive shipped eggs you have to let them sit for a day to settle?

Ive looked for pictures and i cant find any reasurrence well we will see. Hi would someone plzz answer. Also im starting to think maybe i didnt candle them right. Im just soo anxious i just wish at least one hatched today.
