Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

Haha mines a surprise mix I'm still excited and the people I got em from have over 30 hens and when I got em in dead of winter they were getting 28 to 30 eggs a day and no light in the coop part of the reason I'm excited I want some good layers

. Quick question my brother told me he thinks in the barn yard mix of eggs I got that I have a chocolate egg belonging to a cooper Marian not sure about the spelling and FYI the eggs were free didn't wash and all are growing just wanted everyone's opinion

When are they due to hatch?

Have five incubating right, I have no idea what hens they came from (I have a two Buff Orpingtons, a Barred Rock, Black sex-link, a naked neck, a BSL mixed with a SLW and a SLW mixed with a RSL) also I don't know the fathers which could only be a NN or a BSL mixed with a SLW. In other words, mine are grade A mutts.

Oh well, my mutts from last year lay the biggest eggs.

Bigger than the two Buff Orpingtons.

Anyways here is hoping I get a couple of Naked Necks.

We have chickies...not one but

They are little darlings.
I have been so anxious and walked in the stall. went over to the broody box and cheep cheep. Two chickies. There was one fully fluffed out and one that had just hatched. The one who just hatched had a little blood on his belly, but i heard that dries and he will be fine. I am soo happy.

Here are the twins. She is such a good mom. ;D

My blue marans are hatching at day 20! 4/8 out while I went to Trader Joe's. Such an easy stress free hatch.

So my humidity is at 67% for lockdown right now. Is that too high? If it is, how do I get it down?

I don't think it's to high. I usually keep mine between 69-71% with good results.
