I don't know if George is a splash, but I am guessing so. When she was wet from hatching, she was a much darker grey, but she got lighter when she fluffed out. Her wing feathers are coming in a darker grey. I hope you hatch out lots of George siblings and they are whatever shade of BBS you prefer

We have chickies...not one but

They are little darlings.
I have been so anxious and walked in the stall. went over to the broody box and cheep cheep. Two chickies. There was one fully fluffed out and one that had just hatched. The one who just hatched had a little blood on his belly, but i heard that dries and he will be fine. I am soo happy.

Well, I couldn't get my back up bator going. The bearing in the fan went out. So, I went ahead and unplugged the auto turner in my main bator. And put the shipped eggs in. I will be manually turning the 7 day eggs for the next 2 days. I hope it doesn't mess them up.

Today is day 18, all 36 eggs have developing chicks inside. The eggs are now in lockdown.

20 eggs going into lock down today. Yet I was surprised that today is the 18th day and two have pipe the inner membrane. Is that normal.

Will you hurry and get to that farm. And, don't forget your camera! lol...

Maybe? The temp in the incubator may of been a little high causing an early hatch? Maybe they are egg-cited to get out.
