Hi, Therre are lots of great stories about ebay eggs also..
We just complain a lot more about the bad ones...........

I have had less than 30 chicks from over 300 eggs from ebay. About 10% most of them were from 3 batches out of 16. Out of the hatched ones, less than half were what they were supposed to be. So down to 5%. And those were all bantams that I was just using to test my incubators. The bantam eggs travel better thru the mail. The more expensive the eggs, the worst luck I had. Unfortunately, there isn't anyone around me with decent quality large fowl.

We got another babie a phoenix silkie cross. Also she has five more eggs that need to hatch candled them and all are completely black good or bad. Also Lucy is gorgeous luv her.

Has anyone bought the pre sale eggs on Ebay, 4 months ahead? Did you receive them? They aren't supposed to sell more than 30 days ahead. I've know a few that tried and never got the eggs or refund.

Just candled my marans eggs. Out of 7 eggs, I have one definitely something going on, 4 I can't see a blasted thing through those shells, 1 what is that dark blob floating around? and a maybe clear.

I almost through out eggs but they were fine. One thing I candled the remaining four and all I saw was black good or bad it's day 24.

We just candled, it's day 7, one egg had an odd red ring all the way around the middle. Is that bad?

Was it going around like a ring inside the egg if so its a blood ring and...sorry that's bad :,(

definitely not good. That is what we call the red ring of death. Unfortunately the egg is already dead.

Yes, it's a super thin blood red ring all the way around the middle, up against the shell. Dang, I was afraid that's what a "blood ring" was.
