Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

LL

Their wings are always around each other. They are so sweet. If I pick one up without the other, the one left gets sad.

I usually run 3 bators. 2 for incubating, 1 for lockdown.
OH, thank you.
I'll show this post to DH................and let him know I need a set up like yours.....................

Actually, I have wanted a Brinsea for a long time....but not in the budget right now.
I hope to be selling chicks soon and perhaps will get enough to purchase one.

I do the same, except this time, I will have to keep some in the bator they have been in, because they are three days apart from lock down time.  :/

I just stick the later batch in a day or 2 early. If I have to open to retrieve babies during hatch I mist the underside of the lid with hot water to raise humidity immediately.

OK..........................
Before I finished my 1st cup of coffee........must still have been asleep.......
My fingers ordered eggs.......................By the time I realized I was being controlled by something,
(maybe not of this world).it was to late........................already sent pay pal...........
I have wheaten Am's coming tomorrow..............................

Wonder if DH will buy this story............

(acutally, he does not care, just cannot understand why I need so many breeds.............)
Hoping this will turn out better than my 0 hatch with the Silkies............
These are being shipped but about only 350 miles and the weather is decent in our part of the country............

Viola,
When I am hatching more seriously..................I put eggs in every Friday.............
Then I know, Wends days are lockdown, hatch over the weekend................
Leaves time to sterilize the hatcher before the next lockdown.
I hate just one hatch at a time...............

(two LG's one to incubate, one to hatch)

did you get them from the lady in Puget Sound/seattle area? I have had my eye on her Ameraucanas too! They are so beautiful... after my last Am's didnt work out I went for Favs this time... they look kinda similar but without blue eggs which I still want hehe.. I was thinking about making the drive to Seattle and buying her eggs that way so they dont get shipped... you will have to let me know if they arrive undamaged :)

I like your idea of setting every friday! I set my 2 incubators 2 days apart this time.. I always try to time them together, never works out... maybe 1 week apart would be the smart way to go
I just love hatching... my husband doesnt understand it either... at this point its not even about the chooks, its just about hatching

edit: I am also looking at driving to Idaho for someone else's eggs to avoid shipping... lol, priorities!!

OH I almost forgot... have to tell you all this lol...

2 nights ago, I apparently was sleep talking/walking. Not really walking, but you get the idea. I sat up in bed and told my DH I had to find the material. What material do you need? he asked me. The material for the chickens of course!!!!
apparently it was located under the bed and I was satisfied once the imaginary chicken material was located in my dreams!

I have no recollection of any of this.......

So I ended up taking 3 tests yesterday, and I took two more this morning, just to be sure. I'm starting to think I just like peeing on things. Called the dr, and since we had a snowstorm today, and since a bunch of people canceled their appointments today they were able to get me in this afternoon. Doctors test was positive too, they did a blood draw and an ultrasound, but we couldn't see anything yet. I have another US on the first and a follow up on the fourth.
