Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

She is listed on the auction thread........down a'ways......it is wheaton/ blue wheaton listing...............
She has good reviews and I have been thinking about ordering from her for awhile..........

I still have no idea how to do the auctions.... That might be a good thing!

I just love hatching... my husband doesnt understand it either... at this point its not even about the chooks, its just about hatching :lau

OH I almost forgot... have to tell you all this lol...

2 nights ago, I apparently was sleep talking/walking. Not really walking, but you get the idea. I sat up in bed and told my DH I had to find the material. What material do you need? he asked me. The material for the chickens of course!!!!
apparently it was located under the bed and I was satisfied once the imaginary chicken material was located in my dreams!

I have no recollection of any of this....... :lau lol

You know what my husband JUST said to me as I was reading all this? He says "what are you doing? Egg-crack watch--Whatever you call it?!"

Lol! Who knows what he witnesses during the times I incubate eggs...

Good thing I was outside changing out the flock's water. I checked on broody a couple times & the second time I opened the door I was hit in the face by the stench.... Yes, she pooped in her nest. Oh, & she was really messy this time. Maybe because the cold- who knows... Egg shells, poop, & I found the dead chick that I thought she ate... she tucked it back under her :( it was completely smashed flat... anyway, it was sure nerve wracking moving her & the babies to a clean nest, tried to do it quickly, safely & making sure she wasn't going to trample them. Oh boy. I have a migraine from the whole ordeal. Any little stress, & I get an instant migraine... They're all settled now thank goodness. I wish my migraine would go away.

(acutally, he does not care, just cannot understand why I need so many breeds.............)
Hoping this will turn out better than my 0 hatch with the Silkies............
These are being shipped but about only 350 miles and the weather is decent in our part of the country............

I know the feeling!!! Chicken math.. It keeps adding up! I feel compelled to buy more eggs! Trying to stick to the plan, but I'm slipping. I just bought another bator today... I can't stop myself! lol is there a Chicken Addicts Anonymous?? :D

Good luck with your new batch of eggs! <3 I have some wheaten/blue wheaten in my incubator too - on day 5. Gonna candle tomorrow... Can't wait!

I have so many feelings right now we had no idea and if we had gotten they're earlier the vet prob could have helped her.

Try not to beat yourself up... You did the best you could when you did find out - especially since you didn't know she was pregnant. It's unfortunate, but given the circumstances it doesn't sound like you could have done anything differently. I hope Belle Recovers quickly!
