Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

Trying to clean the house. Washing my bedding. What's the point when this keeps happening. Now I have towash my mattress pad again. I can't blame them. I love taking a nap on a freshly washed bed.

I used to have quilts to put on my chicks beds- they would hop up to take a nap and down to eat and poop- they would get mad at another chick if they soiled the bed. This quilt was on for a couple hrs.

Unfortunately, the child growing inside of me will be a constant reminder that I wasn't good enough. :'( Thanks for the hugs though.

I'm so sorry this happened... My prayers are with you. How terrible for him to leave you at a time like this. I know you probably don't see it this way yet, but you're better off without him. Better now than later down the road! And remember your child is a clean slate, innocent, and will love you unconditionally.

Sorry guys. I know that this isn't really the place for this. Just don't have anyone else to talk to, and I just want to stop crying.

*hugs* my thoughts and prayers are with you. You are not alone! I really feel for you - being a single parent to my daughter for most of her life. You will find someone better. Learn from him what kind of person NOT to choose next time.

Wow, that's a great idea. I wish I could teach Max not to poop on the bed. I wash a lot of blankets and towels. He won't poop in the bed,but on the bed is another story.

Ummmm...those 2 would be in big trouble here. Only very little chicks can get away with being on the bed here.
Max loves to snuggle down in anything soft or fuzzy. He turns everything into a nest. I have a few stealth hens that sneak in for cuddles. I have a very unique flock. They are my babies. I have several huge blankets that I throw over my bed after I make it. I am constantly washing them. I never let them up until aftert the cover blanket is on. They snuck up on me today.

Cuteness overload! I really love the iridescence of your chickens, DeannaA!
The first one was supposed to be a Legbar but his coloring is way off. I'm going to put him with my egg flock because he is so beautiful. He has a green sheen on his tail, very blue on his wings and purple on his chest. His name is Ziggy. I like David Bowie.

I'm posted a couple weeks ago, Im incubating marans, ameraucanas, possible olive eggers, and some silkie x purebred ameraucana mixes. This is the first time Ive hatched silkie x ameraucanas, last time I did silkie x marans and they all came out adorable! I'm raising two of the pullets out to see what shade of egg color they lay. Here's some pics:
