Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

Just sold every chick I had available for sale. A BYCer drove over 2 hrs to get them. He took the 5 that literally just hatched in the last 24 hrs (2 were less than 12 hrs old), the 3 that hatched over the weekend & 2 pullets & a roo that are almost 2 months old. All I have left is Stumpy (the little roo that lost his feet to frostbite) & the little smooth showgirl that I kept as a companion for him.

awe!!! there's always a twinge of sadness right as they leave! but congrats on the sale....using it for eggs??? lol

oh sorry multi tasking all day taking care of my little chicks... I took mine out of the turner and laid them all along one side so I could see if they moved.

My temperature was at 97 98 for about 10 days tomorrow is lockdown. What should I expect.

The same thing I am dealing with...Today is hatch day...or was supposed to be, I candled a few tonight and maybe one or two of the sixteen is getting close (within a few days) the others have a bit to go, still a lot of clear at the pointy end of the shell, I will never allow my temp to run that low again, these are the German New Hampshires and chances are I have lost every one of them, the two that look to be closest to hatching are a couple of my barnyard mixes I threw in..
