Jan./Feb. 2014 hatch a long

Ok so here I go again!!!

Got 16 gathered from my girls in the last three days and am buying 2 dozen mixed heritage breeds from a guy up the road... 40 will be set tomorrow evening...

Is there a way to candle before setting to assure they are fertile before placing them in the incubator??

yippee!!! that sounds like a fun hatch love mixed breeds

I dont think you can confirm fertility without breaking it open? if you incubate and candle in a few days, you should know for sure when they start developing veins around day 3 :)

That's what I thought but wanted to ask the ones here that know a lot more than I do!!
I'm so exited!! Got the bator heating up in the spare room, ready to put this bad hatch behind me!!!

Day 4. No veins or anything. By now I think I would be able to see something :(.

The air bubble thing is pretty big though. (The brown stuff is nail polish.)

. Your so lucky!! I want fizzles and sizzles so bad

I was lucky and found a lady who breeds and shows them here in northern ca about an hour from me. I believe that she ships as well. PM me if you want me to go dig up her info. :)
Mine are sizzles, and they are tiny little things. These are the first eggs I've hatched, set four and three made it to lockdown. This is the first one to hatch.

Super excited!

Wow so cute plz post when it all dries

I will for sure! :)

So funny, I talked to the eggs every time I candled them and chatted with them through the incubator. And I think he recognizes me!? Now when I walk over to the incubator to see how he is doing, he hears me and jumps all over the place! It is the cutest thing ever!
