Day 24 and still nothing think I can safely call this hatch a wash nothing out of 36 eggs 26 of them which looked promising all the way up too lock down so depressing.
I have hatched a lot of eggs...............about 5 years I think since I started................OK, I have never waited that long because I was afraid they would explode on me lol... But good to know, I'll do it in hopes that I don't toss a viable egg!
I only hatched twice and both times have had a quitter that when opened stunk, but it was early in the rotting process and the outside of the egg hadn't stunk.. I am confident that I know the difference between the smell of a hatch and the smell of rot and death. I am kinda like a freak about making sure I smell the eggs when I candle and I am always smelling the incubator.. LOl..I have hatched a lot of eggs...............about 5 years I think since I started................
In that time I have only had one bad egg.....................maybe I was just lucky but I do not think
exploding eggs are that common...............
I candle at 11 days and 18.....don't like messing with the eggs to much...............
But I know others do it sooner and more often..................
Good Luck..........![]()
