Araucanas have no tails, lay blue eggs and can be tufted or untufted (huge whisps of feathers sticking straight out from the cheeks).
Ameraucanas have tails, lay blue eggs, have blue/green legs, puffy cheeks, beards, and meet specific color pattern requirenents.
Easter Eggers are any cross with a blue egg gene carrier to make a colored egg laying bird. They can be any color & can lay any color but typically shades of blue & green. EE includes off color Ameraucanas. These may be crosses of Araucana, Ameraucana, Legbar or any bird carrying a blue/green egg gene. Hatcheries often call these birds Americanas (note the spelling difference) which is why everyone gets confused.
LMAO...too cute!
