hi everyone, been a while since I have been on here and have had a lot of success and enjoyment from my chickens. That being said I bought 4 Indian Runner eggs that I am going to try and hatch from my Janoel 12 incubator. I have it set on the default settings of 37.5 degrees and am going to monitor the humidity with my Hygrometer out of my humidor. I am also going to have a thermometer in the unit to double check temps. I read that a relative humidity of 45% is good and the last three days when I stop turning them to bump it up to around 75%. Does this all sound correct?

Well.... I can say that I successfully hatched at 40% or less humidity due to my incubator not holding, it's not ideal but just to give you assurance that it will work as low as 40%. 75% might be a bit too high though? I would shoot for 60-65% but that's just me, maybe people with more experience can chime in with their two pennies.

Sounds about right, but....
Humidity will depend on ambient conditions and the eggs themselves.
Keep an eye on the air cells by candling and tracing....or weigh eggs.

Make sure to check with a calibrated thermometer. My incubator was off by 4C.
Absolutely!
